Delta celebrated their announcement to use local and seasonal ingredients on in-flight menus with their presence at NYCWFF. The Delta activations at Grand Tasting and the Delta Local Series encouraged guests to engage with the fresh quality of their new strategy for food on board, brought to life through several fully immersive vertical gardens.The gardens incorporated foliage local to New York state in October that are used as ingredients on new Delta menu. The gardens were set inside of part-translucent, part-opaque structures, casting silhouettes of the foliage and allowing for Delta branding to integrate organically into the build. A wine bar at Grand Tasting serving upstate New York wines curated by Delta’s Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson complemented the local messaging and brought samples of what to expect onboard to NYCWFF guests. These experiences changed guests’ perceptions of Delta in the culinary space, elevating their status as competitive players in the food market.
