Delta Swap Chef is a new program showcasing Delta’s initiatives in the culinary world. Delta is incredibly conscientious of the food they bring to flights, and the Swap Chef program is an opportunity to share those thoughts and values with the world. Content from this week-long endeavor was captured for video to be released on Delta flights in the spring of 2016.Partnering with Delta culinary ambassadors Linton Hopkins and Andrea Robinson, we brought together top chefs from Los Angeles and Seattle for a restaurant exchange and an immersion of food culture in each respective city. Ethan Stowell of Tavolata and Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo of Animal collaborated with Linton and Andrea on menus founded on local and seasonal food favorites from their cities for two exclusive dinners. They visited markets and specialty boutiques, which informed the menu choices to reflect the local cuisine and Delta’s culinary values. The major messages reflected in the experiences and in the captured content are communicating Delta’s belief in creating thoughtful food choices, their focus on bringing customers local, fresh, and seasonal cuisine, and their ability to connect people to cities and food destinations that they love.
